Operations Project Manager

The Operations Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects that build scale through the organization and deliver operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will focus on managing enterprise projects while also leading and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver innovation, cost savings, and organizational change projects. The candidate will be comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects, as well as rolling out new tools and processes to the teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage against the project baseline (scope, cost & schedule), record and manage project risks and issues
  • Track and analyze project performance and expenditures, report variances and make recommendations for action
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope
  • Chair project meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
  • Drive change management initiatives to positively influence adoption of the system/process and participation in the project
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of organizational changes
  • Provide project management support and guidance to project teams as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ project management experience
  • Sound knowledge of project management methodologies with formal training preferred
  • Experience delivering projects requiring organizational change 
  • Ability to identify and analyze impacts of change on business processes, and to identify risks and potential points of resistance 
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills  
  • Proficiency in PM software (Smartsheet or MS Project) and MS PowerPoint
  • Prosci, PMP certification an asset
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry is preferred
