As DP World Canada continues to expand its terminal operations through acquisition and investment, the need for strategically aligned engineering and maintenance operations has become paramount. Given this rapidly changing environment, the inaugural role of Senior Manager, Engineering & Maintenance has been created to steward this critical component of the business.

 

The Senior Manager, Engineering & Maintenance is mandated to provide technical leadership to the Engineering and Terminal Maintenance teams at the organization’s four British Columbia terminals, St. John, New Brunswick terminal as well as future operations as they are added to the portfolio. The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic oversight and alignment of the Canadian Maintenance departments and the standardization of their processes and best practices, to ensure maximum operational availability, reliability and safety of the equipment and facilities.

 

A veteran of the engineering and maintenance field, possessing 15+ years of management experience, the ideal candidate is a stabilizing influence with a depth of experience within complex operating environments. Focused on bringing world-class solutions to multiple asset intensive environments, the chosen candidate will have an exceptional track record of identifying efficiencies, cost-solutions and coherent equipment strategies within heavy industrial, multi-site operations. The incumbent will be a maintenance strategist, skilled consensus builder, and sage advisor who can successfully elevate DP World Canada’s maintenance and engineering programs in a dynamic and evolving business.

 

The ideal candidate is in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and P.Eng. designation, with a post-graduate degree considered an asset.
