As a BC Top Employer for 12 years standing, YVR is innovative, fun and invests in their people. With high engagement scores, an abundance of learning and development opportunities and a holistic approach to wellness, they are seeking a dynamic leader to join the team.

YVR is embarking on an ambitious plan to deliver the largest Capital Program in their history and are establishing a critical piece of organizational infrastructure, with the creation of a Project Management Office. This focus provides opportunity for an Director, Project Management Office (PMO) to continue to develop the project management maturation and lead YVR’s PMO.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and CFO, the successful candidate will drive the capital project intake process, delivery processes and promote the internal project community. In doing so, the Director will champion project management best practices and manage program risks to the organization. The Director will have in-depth experience in project and program planning, facilitation and influence at all levels of an organization to actively manage and resolve issues such as getting people with different styles and agendas aligned. They will be required to interface with wide ranging groups and be able to engage effectively across the organization to quickly develop trust.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and changing circumstances. The chosen candidate will possess a learning mindset and be able to stay calm in high pressure situations and influence others to make decisions based on company needs. With a minimum of 12 years progressive experience delivering major capital projects, the Director will ‘hit the ground running’ and be able to constantly reprioritize a growing workload. They must be solution focused, motivated by delivery of results and a job well done.
