PRIMARY PURPOSE 

Provides strategic leadership and direction on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program, including the planning, implementation and integration of multiple enterprise system solutions in support of the business and technical transformation of TransLink enterprise and the operating companies. Represents the program at a senior level internally and with key external stakeholders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides strategic leadership to the ERP Program. Directs the development and implementation of future procurement and implementation phases (subject to funding). Oversees the development and implementation of program-related studies, plans, and strategic initiatives, assessing and managing associated risks. 
  • Provides broad direction and strategy to the program and ensures compliance within reporting functions. Establishes budgetary, schedule, resourcing, customer impact and risk register targets and measures for all program areas, directing adjustments as required. 
  • Provides expert advice and recommendations to the senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization as related to the ERP Program, including executive and TransLink Board of Directors, through presentations, participation on committees, and ongoing consultation.
  • Develops and manages critical relationships with key stakeholders, managing expectations and overseeing action taken on the most complex and sensitive issues related to the program. Contributes as a member of the Division’s senior management team, alerts the sponsor and the Program Steering Group to critical program issues, and advises on critical program risk management strategies.
  • Directs the development of significant capital budget proposals and recommends funding levels related to the current and future phases of the program.
  • Oversees relationships with contractors and consultants, resolving escalated contract compliance issues.
  • Provides broad direction to reporting staff in the delivery of the program. Leads selection, development, performance management and other people practices.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

The competencies of this position would typically be acquired through completion of University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, and/or Engineering plus 10+ years of program or project (large projects) management experience with a proven track record on large and complex IT projects’ design and delivery. PMP certification is required.

  • Expert leadership skills to establish strategy and objectives, to drive change and promote a culture of responsibility and quality throughout the organization. 
  • Expert interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including negotiation skills as they relate to contracts and resolution of contractual issues. 
  • Expert analytical thinking and problem solving skills to breakdown complex business problems and develop recommendations.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.

Salary Range: $145,258 to $181,573 per annum ($74.24 to $92.80 per hour)
