: Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the Public Works Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of assigned department specific projects. The position will oversee all aspects of a project; from initiation to completion, while ensuring it is completed on time, within budget and according to specified requirements. Core responsibilities within the scope of project management include planning & organizing, team coordination, resource management, risk management, monitoring, measuring performance, reporting, quality control and stakeholder engagement. Upon hire, the Public Works Project Manager will focus on the assigned projects while representing Cowichan Tribes interests: Cowichan Weir Replacement: This project seeks to replace the existing Weir at Lake Cowichan with an improved installation. Joint Utility Board Outfall Relocation: This project seeks to relocate the Regional Sewage Lagoon outfall from the Cowichan River to the ocean near Cowichan Bay. This is a permanent, full-time position and works in the office with moderate local travel as required
