Lonsdale Energy Corporation
Regular Full Time

Located at the urban core of the beautiful North Shore with convenient access to major regional and global centres, Lonsdale Energy Corporation (LEC) continues to expand and develop a District Energy System that services nearly 100 buildings. Through the City of North Vancouver, the Lonsdale Energy Corporation is seeking a strategic, collaborative and results oriented Deputy Director, Project Management and Delivery to join the team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created position will have oversight of a variety of district energy systems projects, to seek out opportunities for innovation and partnerships while ensuring development and investments in the City’s district energy infrastructure align with strategic priorities. With responsibilities for a wide range of project activities including feasibility studies, master planning, site selection, and design and construction of low-carbon energy projects, it is anticipated that the Deputy Director will form and lead project management and implementation activities, including leading development of project delivery tools and processes.

As a skilled negotiator and communicator, the Deputy Director will continue to build strong strategic partnerships and work collaboratively to deliver shared goals and priorities. Critical to the success of LEC projects are the working relationships with project stakeholders, along with strong partnerships within municipal, provincial and federal government. This position will also have responsibility for sourcing funding and grant opportunities to further develop the City’s district energy services.

Typically a successful candidate will have obtained a professional designation (P. Eng.) combined with senior experience in infrastructure development. A combination of skills, education, training (such as PMP or similar) and experience providing an equivalent background will be considered. Must be eligible to register as an Applied Science Technologist or Certified Technician with ASTTBC. A Class 5 BC driver’s license is required for this role.

During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).

Through the City of North Vancouver, LEC offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule.
