Reporting to the Regional Director, Capital Planning & Support Services, the Director, Planning and Projects & Chief Project Officer (the Director) is responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of capital development projects as assigned, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and that required outcomes are achieved. The Director leads projects from procurement to completion and is responsible for ensuring appropriate engagement with executive sponsors and for the development of a project plan that guides project work, including consultation and communication of project progress with key stakeholders.

In addition, the Director will work with Health Services Administrators, Project Steering/User Committees, and facilities maintenance staff to facilitate decision-making and ensure a coordinated approach to capital planning and budget allocations, and alignment with established processes and committee structures.

The ideal candidate has a strong process engineering and/or project/program background, with the proven ability to work effectively and positively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, they will have collaborated on a wide range of projects within a highly complex healthcare or similar environment.
