Work Arrangements

The Role

The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is seeking contract instructors for the Summer 2019 term.

Responsibilities

For the Summer 2019 semester, the instructor(s) must be fully prepared to teach one of the following Business Management courses:

- Trade in the Global Market (BUSN 3100)
- Organizational Management Skills (BUSN 3310)
- Global Supply Chain Management (BUSN 3410)
- Business Statistics II (BUSN 3431)
- Business Strategy and Competitive Analysis (BUSN 4275)

The successful candidate will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress. You will plan, organize and teach learning activities. You will ensure students receive the knowledge, information and resources to succeed by maintaining a quality, learner-centered approach to post-secondary education.

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need

- To possess a PhD, have ABD status, MBA or relevant Master degree from a recognized institution. 
For Global Business Environment (BUSN 3100) and/or Global Supply Chain Management (BUSN 3410): to have a combination of three years of work and teaching experience directly related to assigned teaching responsibility, with a minimum of two years work experience, in the area of international trade or international business. A Certified International Trade Professional (CITP ) designation is preferred but not required.
For Organizational Management Skills (BUSN 3310) and/or Business Strategy and Competitive Analysis (BUSN 4275): to have three years of management experience and relevant teaching experience.
For Business Statistics II (BUSN 3431) : to have a combination of three years of work, academic or professional research and teaching experience directly related to assigned teaching responsibility.

- To demonstrate an excellent ability to teach upper level courses at the post-secondary level with preference given to candidates with previous successful teaching experience. 
- To work cooperatively with colleagues in a team environment. 
- To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. 
- To possess working knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies.
